Inspections
How it works
- Create a template - define the categories and questions relevant to your inspection type.
- Start an inspection - select a building, room, or asset and choose a template.
- Fill in the inspection - go through the questions, mark statuses, and log any problems.
- Finish the inspection - problems found are automatically created as work orders in the Work Orders module.
- Optional: create an act to sign - create a document out of inspection result, that all parties can sign
You will find the full step-by-step manual here.
Inspection types
The Inspections module supports a variety of inspection types. Common use cases include:
Warranty:
- Pre-purchase inspection - documents the condition of a property at the beginning of a warranty period
- Warranty end inspection - conducted at the end of the warranty period to identify any defects that need to be addressed before the warranty expires
Tenancy-related:
- Move-in inspection - conducted when a property or unit is handed over from one party to another, documenting the condition at the time of transfer.
- Move-out inspection
- Mid-tenancy inspection
Routine / Periodic:
- Routine condition inspection (regular scheduled check-ups)
- Seasonal inspection (pre-winter, pre-summer readiness)
- Annual inspection
Technical:
- Compliance & safety
- Technical devices inspections
- Common area inspection
Since templates are fully customizable, you can also create inspections for any other purpose that fits your workflow.
Templates can be reused across multiple buildings and units.
After finishing an inspection, you can generate an official act, a formal document summarizing the inspection results that both parties can sign. The act is generated from an act template which uses automatic variables (building name, unit, date, participants, findings, etc.) to populate the document. Parties can sign either with an ID-card or with a finger on a touchscreen device.
The functionality is activated the first time by a Hausing employee, and it costs 50β¬/month. To activate this feature write help@hausing.co
